WILD-TASTE-SPACE
SHOP DESIGN
WILD-TASTE-SPACE.
A Foraged Pop Up Shop, Cafe Space. Everything in the Wild Taste Space had been foraged or donated. The total material costs to construct the space was about £35 not including the inexpensive programable lighting system It was all built out of pallettes along with all the stock that had been foraged locally from the Wild.
The shop was an experiment to find out where the constraints would be opening such a space.
It was a project Combined with the Brewhouse Bar and Music Venue Colchester.
I decided to close the Space after 3 months as I could envisage foreseeable problems.

THE STOCKWELL(1340) RESTURAUNT BAR,VENUE COLCHESTER ESSEX.
A real restoration feat of a fantastic example of an Ancient Timber Framed Building from circa 1340.
Wild-Light had the opportunity to enhance the Ancient Architecture before it would have been lost through lighting with no sensitivity to the Building and what it stands for through History.
The Beams were a chance to practice how to light a structure without seeing where the light source was coming from.
This piece of work was going to be a Show Piece for Wild-Lite in Ancient Building and Resturaunt Lighting Design but sadly Robert Morgan the owner of the Stockwell died shortly after its long completion.
The Light System was a discrete LED programable system comprising of 12 individual sensors that could create hundreds of different ambient combinations in various parts of the building to enhance the ambiences for what ever event the building would be used for. Sadly today it is closed.
